Tax Forms & Assistance Services

We generally receive tax forms in the early part of February and remove any remaining forms the week after tax day.

Tax forms are located on our first level. Tax forms are available from February through the end of April and are first-come, first-served.

You can request the federal government to mail federal forms and booklets to you by filling out an online form or calling 1-800-829-3676. The WI Department of Revenue and the IRS send us a limited number of the following forms:

Appleton Public Library staff are not accountants or tax attorneys; they cannot provide tax assistance or advise you on which forms you need.

There are multiple agencies and programs that help individuals with taxes.

AARP Volunteers  920-215-1040

AARP volunteers offer free, individualized tax preparations for low-to moderate-income taxpayers, especially those 50 and older. AARP volunteers are available here Tuesdays from the first Tuesday in February through the last Tuesday in tax season. Call 920-215-1040 to make a morning appointment at any of the Fox Valley locations

VITA Free tax prep and filing

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance is a program of Goodwill. Tax preparation and filing through VITA is available on the Goodwill Campus, 1800 Appleton Road, Menasha, WI,. Call 920-968-6044 to make an appointment.
