“Birthday in a Box” project for St. Joe’s Food Pantry

Donate Cake!  Students in grades 7-12 will be hard at work this spring to brighten the lives of low-income families. As part of this Teen Library Program, we are seeking donations to create non-perishable celebration boxes for children that may not otherwise get a birthday party.

On March 16, 2010 the teens will gather to decorate and fill the boxes to be delivered to St. Joe’s food pantry.

Supplies needed include:
plain white bakery cake boxes
sealed cake mix
• sealed cans of frosting
• boxes of candles
• paper plates
• napkins
• sprinkles
• party hats
• balloons
• aluminum baking pans

Donations can be brought to the Appleton Public Library Information Desk during regular business hours. With your help, we can make a child’s birthday special!
